What This Privacy Policy Covers
This app, Dream Villa, stores all your home and property records locally on your device. This policy explains how your data is handled, stored, and protected. If you have questions, contact p.r.abi17061993@gmail.com.
What We Collect: Nothing Leaves Your Device
Dream Villa collects no personal data that leaves your device. Every record you create—house details, expenses, photos, documents, contacts, notes—stays in the app's secure local storage on your phone. You always have complete control over what you store and who you share it with.
This applies to your property records. The free version of the app also shows ads served by Google AdMob, which involves its own, separate data handling described below — that ad traffic never includes any of your property records.
What You Can Store
You choose what to store in Dream Villa, including: house addresses and location pins, tradespeople contacts, documents (deeds, plans, agreements, bills), expense records, payment schedules, progress photos, daily site diary entries, voice notes, material inventory, maintenance records, appliance details, utility bills, warranties, and optionally vehicle and insurance information. None of this leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Data Storage and Encryption
All your records are stored in a local SwiftData database inside the app's private container. Photos, PDFs, and voice notes are stored as files in the app's private Application Support directory on your device. When your device is locked, iOS applies file-level encryption to protect your data.
App Permissions and Why We Need Them
Dream Villa asks for these permissions and uses them only as described below:
- Photo Library - to let you attach images of your house, progress photos, and scanned bills to your records.
- Camera - to let you capture progress photos and bill images directly in the app.
- Microphone - to let you record voice notes in your daily site diary.
- Location (when in use only) - to show your current position on the map while you select a house location. The app never tracks your location in the background or stores location history.
- Notifications - to send you local reminders for payment due dates, service schedules, and warranty expiry. These reminders are scheduled on your device, not sent through any server.
- Face ID / Touch ID (optional) - for the optional app lock feature only. iOS handles biometric data; the app never sees or stores it.
- App Tracking Transparency (optional) - lets you choose whether Google AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to personalise ads. Declining still shows ads, just not personalised ones.
App Lock and Passcode
If you choose to set an optional numeric passcode to lock the app, the passcode is stored only as a salted SHA-256 hash. Your actual digits are never saved or transmitted. If you use Face ID or Touch ID, that data is handled entirely by iOS and never stored by this app.
Backup, Export, and Restore
You can export your entire database as a single .dreamvilla JSON file, with or without your photos, PDFs, and voice notes embedded. Where you save or send that file—Files app, iCloud Drive, email, AirDrop, or any cloud service—is entirely your choice. Once you export your data, it is outside the app's control and governed by the terms of whatever service you choose to use.
Advertising and Third-Party Data
Dream Villa's free tier shows ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising network. Dream Villa does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking library beyond AdMob, and your house records, expenses, photos, documents and contacts are never shared with AdMob or anyone else — the ad SDK never sees your app data, only the technical signals described below.
AdMob may collect device identifiers, general location (derived from IP address, not GPS), app usage and interaction data, and — if you allow it — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), in order to select and measure ads. This data is processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
On iOS, Dream Villa asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before using your IDFA for personalised ads. If you decline, or haven't set a preference, you still see ads, but they are not personalised to you — you can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Some of the advertising is in the form of rewarded ads — short video ads you choose to watch in exchange for a specific action, such as exporting a report or adding an expense while on the free plan. A rewarded ad never plays unless you tap to start it, and declining one simply means that action is not carried out. Rewarded ads involve the same AdMob data handling described above and no additional data.
Subscribing stops all ad requests, banner and rewarded alike, so AdMob receives nothing at all from your device while the subscription is active.
Subscription (In-App Purchase)
Dream Villa offers one optional auto-renewable subscription. It removes all advertising, lifts the free plan's limits on how many houses and records you can keep, and enables backup export. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit — Dream Villa never receives your payment details, card numbers, or Apple ID password.
Apple collects and processes the information needed to complete the purchase (such as your Apple ID and payment method) under Apple's own privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. Your purchase is recorded against your Apple ID by Apple, not by us.
Inside the app, the only thing stored about your subscription is a single flag recording whether it is currently active. That flag lives on your device, is re-checked against Apple's records each time the app launches, and is never transmitted anywhere. Dream Villa learns nothing else about your purchase.
See the Terms & Conditions for the full billing, renewal and cancellation terms, and for what the free plan includes.
Children's Privacy
Dream Villa is not directed at children. It is not intended for anyone under 13, or under 16 in those parts of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom that set a higher age of digital consent. Advertising in the free version is not targeted at children.
The app stores only what you choose to record locally on your device and does not collect personal information through any other means. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used this app, you can delete any individual record, or the app itself, directly on the device.
Data Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You can delete any individual record, expense, note, or file from the app at any time. Deleting a house from the app removes all associated records and files. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored in the app's private container. There is nothing to request from the developer because the developer holds no copy of your data.
Your Rights Over Your Data
Your property records are never transmitted, so there is no copy of them anywhere for the developer to hold, correct or erase. Your rights over those records are exercised directly in the app: you can view, edit, export and delete any record at any moment, without asking anyone. That is a stronger position than a right of access against a company holding your data, because no company is holding it.
Advertising is the one exception, and it is worth being precise about. In the free version, Google AdMob receives the technical signals listed under "Advertising and Third-Party Data" above. That data is processed by Google, and in regions such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the law may treat the developer as responsible for it alongside Google.
You have three practical controls over that advertising data, wherever you live: decline or withdraw tracking consent at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, which stops your advertising identifier being used; exercise your rights over what Google holds through Google's own privacy controls at https://policies.google.com/privacy; or subscribe, which stops ad requests being made at all.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another region with statutory data rights, those rights apply to that advertising data. Write to p.r.abi17061993@gmail.com with any question about them.
International Users and Cross-Border Transfers
Dream Villa is available worldwide. Because your property records stay in local storage on your device, the app transfers nothing across borders — wherever you are, your records stay with you, and no server of ours ever receives them.
Advertising is different. If you use the free version, Google processes the ad signals described above on its own global infrastructure, which may involve servers outside the country you are in. Those transfers are governed by Google's privacy policy and the safeguards Google applies to them.
Using the app offline, or subscribing, means no ad request is made and nothing at all leaves the device.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or to clarify how we handle your data. The most recent version is shown at the top of this policy. If we make material changes, we will inform you by updating the date and, if necessary, by showing a notice in the app.
Future Cloud Sync (Planned)
Future versions of Dream Villa may offer optional iCloud synchronisation to back up your data across your devices. If that feature is added, it will be entirely optional, you will be asked to opt in, and we will update this privacy policy before the feature is available.
