Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Dream Villa, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time.
About Dream Villa
Dream Villa is an iOS app that lets you create a digital file for each property you own, recording everything from planning and construction through long-term maintenance. All your property records are stored locally on your device and do not require an account or internet connection. The app makes network requests for exactly two things: serving ads via Google AdMob in the free tier, and processing the optional Remove Ads subscription through Apple's StoreKit.
What You Can Do With the App
You may use Dream Villa for personal, non-commercial record-keeping of your own properties only. You may take photos, record notes, store documents, and organise maintenance schedules for houses, plots, or properties you own. You may export your data and back it up as described in the privacy policy. You may not distribute, sell, rent, modify, or create derivative works from the app itself or its contents.
The Free Plan and What a Subscription Adds
Dream Villa is free to use, within limits. On the free plan you may keep one house, and up to 20 records in each module of that house. Modules are counted separately, so contacts, expenses, documents, progress photos, diary entries, materials, maintenance records, utility bills, warranties and the rest each have their own allowance of 20.
Exporting a backup requires a subscription. Restoring from a backup does not, and never will — a backup file you already hold is always yours to load back in.
A subscription lifts every one of these limits, removes all advertising, and enables backup export.
Records you have already saved are never deleted because of a limit. If you exceed a limit — for example by restoring a backup made while subscribed — the extra records remain on your device untouched; the app simply does not display them, and will not let you add more, until you subscribe. Everything reappears the moment a subscription is active again.
The developer may change what the free plan includes in a future version. Any such change will be described in the release notes and reflected in these terms before it takes effect.
Estimation Calculators: Disclaimer
Dream Villa includes estimation calculators for construction costs, concrete, bricks, steel, tiles, paint, water tanks, compound walls, parking, staircases, EMI, loan eligibility, and interest. These calculators produce quick estimates based on industry thumb rules for planning purposes only.
- These are NOT engineering, architectural, valuation, legal, tax, or financial advice.
- Estimates must be verified with a qualified engineer or architect before you order materials or start construction.
- Do not rely on these calculations alone for budget approvals, loan applications, or procurement decisions.
- The accuracy and suitability of estimates depend on your local costs, labour availability, and site conditions, which vary by region.
- The developer is not liable for inaccurate estimates, cost overruns, or any decisions made based on the calculator results.
Your Responsibility for Your Data
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy and completeness of all information you enter into the app.
- Ensuring you have the right to store and use all documents, photos, and records you upload.
- Regular backups of your data to prevent loss due to accidental deletion or device loss.
- The security of your device and any passcode you set to lock the app.
- Understanding that if you forget your passcode, you may need to reinstall the app, which will erase all local data.
Backup and Restore
Dream Villa lets you export your database as a .dreamvilla file and store it wherever you choose. Exporting requires an active subscription; restoring is available on every plan. You are responsible for keeping backups safe and secure. If you export to cloud services (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), those services' terms and security practices apply. The developer is not responsible for loss, theft, or unauthorised access to your exported files.
Use of Permissions
By using Dream Villa, you consent to the app requesting and using the permissions described in the privacy policy: Photo Library, Camera, Microphone, Location (when in use), Notifications, and Face ID/Touch ID. You can change or revoke any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app. Revoking a permission may disable certain features but will not affect your ability to view or manage your existing records.
Advertising
The free version of Dream Villa displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads help keep the app free and are shown in accordance with Apple's and Google's advertising policies.
Dream Villa also uses rewarded ads: short video ads you choose to watch in exchange for a specific action, such as exporting a report or adding an expense while on the free plan. A rewarded ad is never played unless you tap to start it, and you may decline or dismiss it at any point. Declining means only that the action is not completed — it never affects records you have already saved.
You can remove both banner and rewarded ads at any time with the optional subscription described below.
Subscription, Billing and Cancellation
Dream Villa offers one optional auto-renewable subscription.
- It removes all banner and rewarded advertising, lifts the free plan's limits on houses and on records per module, and enables backup export.
- Price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, and are charged to your Apple ID account.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or via the "Manage Subscription" link in the app's Settings screen.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's own refund policies, not by the developer directly.
- The subscription changes how much the app will show and let you add, and whether it shows ads. It never changes the records themselves. Cancelling, lapsing or requesting a refund does not delete anything you have recorded.
- All estimation calculators, reminders, sharing and restore-from-backup work identically on both plans.
- Dream Villa remains usable for free, with ads and within the limits described above, if you choose not to subscribe.
App Lock and Passcode
If you set an optional numeric passcode to lock the app, you are responsible for remembering it. The app stores only a hash of your passcode, not the digits themselves. If you forget your passcode, you will need to uninstall the app and reinstall it, which will erase all local data. The developer cannot recover a forgotten passcode.
No Warranties or Guarantees
Dream Villa is provided 'as is' without any warranty, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of calculations, the completeness of features, or that the app will meet your specific needs. Use the app at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, lost business opportunities, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or personal injury arising from your use of Dream Villa or your reliance on information or calculations produced by the app. This limitation applies even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Changes to the App and These Terms
We may update the app and these terms at any time. Updates may change features, add new functionality, or fix bugs. By continuing to use the app after an update, you accept the new version of these terms. If we make material changes to these terms, we will inform you by updating the date and, if necessary, by showing a notice in the app.
Termination
You may stop using Dream Villa at any time. Uninstalling the app will remove all data stored locally. If you have exported your data, it remains in your possession and is not affected by uninstalling the app.
Governing Law
Dream Villa is distributed worldwide through the App Store. These terms are governed by the laws of India, where the developer is based, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
That choice of law does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your own country's law gives you that cannot be waived by agreement — including, where the law provides it, the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Nothing in these terms removes any statutory right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
